ISoftStone, SunGard Partner for Asia-Pacific Delivery

The vendors will jointly offer IT services to clients in the finance services and insurance industries in China and across the Asia-Pacific region, in conjunction with the deployment of SunGard's iWorks platform, they say in a statement.

Beijing-based iSoftStone Information Technology and Wayne, Pa.-based SunGard will jointly offer IT services to clients in the financial services and insurance industries in China and across the Asia-Pacific region, in conjunction with the deployment of SunGard's iWorks platform, according to the terms of an agreement.

This partnership provides unique competitive advantages for both iSoftStone and SunGard in serving insurance industry clients, which typically require specialist service capabilities, the companies say. It leverages iSoftStone's experienced China-based implementation teams and technical expertise and with SunGard's industry consulting services, they add.

"I believe [this agreement] will allow us to become even more competitive in China's BFSI, by accessing the professional experience and service capabilities of iSoftStone along with SunGard iWorks' solutions," TW Liu, chairman and CEO of iSoftStone, says in a statement. "Numerous clients have already witnessed the benefits of SunGard iWorks' solutions and we look forward to being their strategic partner for further success. Furthermore, this partnership is a testament to iSoftStone's balanced market approach, with a strong presence in China's domestic IT services market, as well as serving global clients and partners such as SunGard."
