Securian Financial Group has announced the appointment of a second VP of Enterprise Digital Strategy and a director of Enterprise Strategy and Business Development. The two new hires will work to broaden Securian’s digital and acquisition strategies.

Michael Webster joins the company from Ameriprise Financial, where he led the development of emerging digital channels in interactive marketing. As director of Enterprise Strategy and Business Development, Patrick Boyd will spearhead Securian’s strategic planning and acquisition projects. He most recently worked at United Health Group, where he collaborated on projects related to the Affordable Care Act. He also focused on strategic planning and acquisition during his time at RBC Wealth Management.

“At Securian, growing our businesses through acquisition and a customer-centric digital experience are top priorities,” said Siddharth Gandhi, VP and head of Enterprise Strategic Business Development at Securian, in the news release. “Michael and Patrick are charged with maintaining the company’s focus on these two strategic priorities and keeping us on the path to growth.” Both appointees will report to Gandhi.
