Sapiens Acquires KPI for Decision Management

Its investment will enable the enhancement of Sapiens’ end-to-end decision management solution.

Sapiens International Corporation has announced its acquisition of Knowledge Partners International (KPI), a decision management consultancy firm. Its investment reflects the growing focus on decision management across financial services.

An effective decision management strategy enables corporations to boost operational effectiveness, strategic agility, efficiency, and compliance with both regulatory and corporate policy. KPI has vast domain expertise and patent rights to The Decision Model. This will help Sapiens evolve its solution, Sapiens DECISION, to create an end-to-end enterprise offering.

With this acquisition, Sapiens’ decision management tech portfolio will include Sapiens DECISION in addition to KPI’s STEP and QuickSTEP consulting programs, which incorporate Agile methods of business process modeling, business rule mining, and decision modeling. It also contains an established consulting and educational program to train, mentor and certify enterprises in implementing Agile decision, process and requirements management.

“Acquisitions of high quality and innovative organizations, such as KPI, are key to our success. The KPI acquisition will not impact this year’s financial results, but we expect to gain momentum in the market starting next year,” said Roni Al-Dor, president and CEO of Sapiens International, in a statement. “We want to identify and take full advantage of new opportunities in the insurance and financial services markets, such as enterprise decision management, so we can provide added value that will help organizations streamline their business.”
