Symetra Inks Licensing Agreement with CSC

The life insurer will use CSC products to manage distribution and streamline annuities processing.

Symetra Life Insurance Company has licensed Falls Church, Va.-based CSC’s PerformancePlus and AWD products for use in its business.

The Seattle-based insurer, which already uses CSC’s policy administration systems CyberLife and Vantage-One, will use PerfomancePlus to measure and manage the performance of its distributor network. AWD, a process management platform, will help eliminate manual tracking systems and paper workflows, according to the companies.

“As we expand our distributor relationships and product lines, we need technology that drives operational efficiencies and provides additional capacity for growth,” Troy Olson-Blair, Symetra CIO, says in a statement. “This comprehensive agreement allows us to channel our resources toward platform integration and growth in functionality.”

CSC also signed a licensing agreement this year with Ohio National. The company introduced mobile capabilities last year and social tools in 2008.
