Vermont Mutual Selects Thunderhead for SOA-Based Systems Revamp
Montpelier, Vt.-based Vermont Mutual Insurance Group has selected the Thunderhead NOW platform from London-based Thunderhead.com to optimize agent and policyholder communications.
The selection is part of a major system modernization effort and transition to a service-oriented architecture, according to a statement. The insurer will now have a single software application for managing agent and customer communications such as policies, endorsements and invoices.
"Thunderhead NOW is a great fit for Vermont Mutual Insurance Group, exceeding our needs for replacing our legacy systems and allowing us to greatly reduce the complexity and number of documents being maintained in our legacy solution," said Joanne Currier, VP IT at Vermont Mutual Insurance Group, in a statement. "Thunderhead NOW's powerful and user-friendly platform with its integration of IT development and business user controls significantly streamlines our former cumbersome development cycle."
Vermont Mutual will also use Thunderhead's Analyze NOW and Validate to further drive productivity and improve the quality of customer communications, the statement concludes.
